Situated just a five-minute walk away from Salcombe’s famous waterside, beaches, restaurants and boutique shops, 2 Channel View is a three-storey holiday home that benefits from stunning panoramic views over the estuary and out to sea from each of the bedrooms, the lounge and the terrace.
The property is accessed up a steep flight of stone steps (42) from the shared driveway to the front door. Once inside, from the entrance lobby is the main open plan living accommodation and a small cloakroom with w.c and wash hand basin. The comfortable lounge has two double sofas, occasional furniture and a Smart TV. The dining area towards the rear has a large table seating six. Towards the front of the lounge is a light and airy sunroom with conservatory style furniture, with large double doors that open out on to the spacious terrace with stunning estuary views. Leading from the lounge is a newly fitted kitchen.
Three bedrooms in total. On the first floor is a master bedroom with King-size bed, bedside units and wardrobe. A twin room has two single beds, bedside units, drawers and wardrobe. This room benefits from an en suite with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and w.c. Also, on this floor is the family bathroom with bath, shower (over), wash hand basin and w.c. The final twin bedroom is on the second floor with TV and DVD player. In addition, two parking spaces are available on the driveway.
Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

This really is a home away from home property. Everything you could need is provided and this includes the well-equipped kitchen. Wifi is fast and consistent, and a smart tv is in the lounge. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and is very comfortable with views across the estuary to Mill Bay and up to Bolt Head. The views from the lounge area and sun room extension are stunning in both directions of the estuary. Many an afternoon has been spent sat on the patio soaking up the view in the sunshine. The steps are steep and an absolute calf burner but there is a conveniently placed bistro table and chairs mid-way to break the climb!! The owners have really thought of everything. The views really are worth the steps. Within a few minutes you can be in the town and only 15 minutes walk you can be in North Sands. Parking is available for 2 cars it takes a bit of manoeuvring with a larger size car but is an absolute luxury this close to the town. Highly recommend this lovely home and give it 10 out of 10.

The bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds again with great views. The house was very clean and comfortable with huge windows in the lounge onto the terrace overlooking the estuary and the house has it's own parking which is a real plus in Salcombe and you are in the town walking within a few minutes. We would highly recommend staying at 2 Channel view and already looking to stay next year.
