Bay Tree Cottage is a very pretty thatched, Devon cottage dating back to the 17th century and situated in the very centre of Thurlestone village, a short walk from the village pub and shop. This much loved property, sympathetically refurbished throughout, provides excellent family accommodation and offers modern comforts whilst still retaining its beautiful character with low ceilings and exposed beams. The garden, which is surprisingly large, is almost completely secluded. A warm welcome with complimentary Devonshire cream tea with freshly baked scones awaits guests.

Accommodation: Ground floor living room, open fireplace, TV, DVD, mini Hi-Fi. Dining area. Kitchen ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher washing machine, breakfast area with table and stools, access to garden. Cloakroom. First floor bedroom 1, king size bed, mini Hi-Fi, dressing area and en suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Bedroom 2, twin single beds, TV, DVD and en suite bathroom. Bedroom 3, single bunk beds (suitable for children only).

Outside: Patio area with table and chairs leading to large secluded garden with garden furniture.

Included: Bed linen, towels, WiFi, telephone (incoming and local calls only), cot, high chair,  1 basket of logs (in winter), electricity and central heating (oil).

Bay Tree Cottage is a very pretty quintessential thatched, Devon cottage dating back to the 17th century, fabulously situated in the very centre of Thurlestone village, a short walk from the village shop and the pub, with the beach being fifteen minutes' walk away. This picture postcard, light and spacious cottage, which has been sympathetically refurbished using traditional materials and finishes, provides an excellent holiday cottage for a  holiday by the sea and offers modern comforts whilst retaining an abundance of character throughout with low ceilings and exposed beams in some rooms. The garden, which is surprisingly large, is almost completely secluded and is a sheer delight. A warm welcome with complimentary Devonshire Cream Tea & freshly baked scones awaits you.

Ground floor:  Spacious  lounge/dining room with heaps of character, low beams, wood burner, comfortable sofas and chairs, large flat screen TV with built-in DVD player, iPod dock, refectory table and chairs. Kitchen with ceramic hob, built under electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer. Breakfast table and stools, picture window and door to garden. Cloakroom with WC and basin. First Floor: Master bedroom with king size 5ft bed,  built in wardrobes, chest of drawers and dressing area.  En-suite bathroom with bath and hand held shower,  separate walk in-shower cubicle, pedestal basin and WC.  Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, flat screen TV with DVD,  built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, en-suite bathroom with bath and hand held shower, basin and WC. Bunk bedroom with 3ft bunks and chest of drawers (suitable for children only).

Outside:

Patio area with garden table and chairs leading to large, secluded, very private garden with lawns, shrubs and garden furniture. 

Parking: On road parking possible where available. Parking Permit also provided for one car at Parish Hall car park (200 yds).

    Please note - broadband service is not fast by any means in Thurlestone and Bay Tree service is regulated by a monthly allowance. If subjected to prolonged and data-hungry use, may slow down further. This service is suitable for light use i.e. daily email checking or holiday planning, but it is not suitable for Skype, downloading or streaming films, iplayer or prolonged usage
