Valley View is a well-regarded holiday rental in Devon, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and the warm welcome provided by the hosts. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome packs and essential items. The property serves as a great base for exploring the area, though one review suggests room for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.
Most guests found Valley View to be clean and well-presented. However, one review mentioned issues with dog hair and a need for a thorough dusting, which suggests some inconsistency in the cleanliness standards.
The location is frequently described as favourable, offering easy access to local attractions and set in a quiet, pleasant village. One review mentioned the challenge of a steep hill, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
Guests consistently report that the property is comfortable, with special mentions of a comfortable bed and a homely atmosphere. The comfort of the property is a highlight in several reviews.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped property and a huge TV. However, one review cites wear and tear in the kitchen, a whistling gas cooker, and a problematic bathroom door, indicating some areas need attention.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is highly praised, with several mentions of welcome packs and essentials provided. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Exeter is an easily accessible medieval city best known for its most renowned feature, Exeter Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece began in the 12th century. Riverside Valley Park, a scenic green space ideal for a leisurely stroll, and Northernhay Gardens, a tranquil sanctuary in the centre of the city, are also located in the city. You can also enjoy a multitude of walking and cycling options in the neighbouring Dartmoor National Park. Valley View is an ideal base for exploring Devon.

I liked the art work around the property lots of character. Lovely light and airy bedroom with a beautiful view out of the windows. The village pubs are friendly and passers by all ways said hello. We would recommend to our friends and family.
