What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Pritchard - Verified booking

We arrived to a beautiful clean cottage right in the heart of Shaldon with the added bonus of the beach being right on the doorstep! Sea Dream cottage is very well equipped for all your needs. The kitchen is modern with lots of crockery & utensils, everything you need & more! The living room is cosy with wooden beams, lots of seating and a wood burning stove. There is also a lovely window seat where you can sit and watch people passing by. Being close to the Clipper Cafe we were able to have fresh croissants & coffee most mornings! The courtyard garden was lovely, our little dog felt very safe. The information folder was very useful too, the owners have thought of everything you need to know. Shaldon can be extremely busy but we were very lucky with parking, being able to park next to the cottage was an added bonus. One thing to note, due to the age of the cottage some of the floors upstairs are uneven, especially the bathroom but this is to be excepted and adds to the charm. Overall we had a lovely stay at Sea Dream cottage it has a very homely atmosphere.

We had a wonderful week at sea dream! The village and beach is wonderful too. I must have overlooked the fact it didn't have parking as I would never have chosen somewhere without. Nor would I have chosen somewhere with such steep uneven stairs and uneven floors upstairs as two of our party have mobility issues. We had to remove pictures along the stairway as they needed to lean onto the wall to get up and downstairs. Might want to replace the rope hold that are in the pictures. If we had known all this before we would never have chosen Sea Dream and that would have been our loss! It was so comfortable and full of quirky and luxury features. We will be back!

Sunnyside was fabulous for our stay in Shaldon. It has parking for 3 cars/boats, an enclosed grassy garden with outdoor dining area, is very comfortable and spacious, well equipped and in a peaceful location (away from traffic, next to a primary school but we liked hearing the children playing). Just a short level walk to the estuary beach, shops, pubs and cafes. Three bathrooms make it great for a larger group holidaying together. Large utility room perfect for allowing wet dogs to dry off after walks and swims, with access around the side of the house. Outdoor hose for washing off sand too. Overall really fantastic.

We had a lovely week at Sunnyside House. We were a mixed family group ranging in ages from 76 down to 13. We found the house spacious, very comfortable and very well equipped. The property is in a very quiet area with no passing traffic but within easy reach of the beach, some shops and an excellent pub. For more in the way of shops, Teignmouth is easily reached by ferry/walking. We rarely book the same cottage twice but have already booked Sunnyside House again for next year as we enjoyed in so much. We would highly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.

    • Mr Cottrell - Verified booking

We were a party of three couples who had a very pleasant stay in a well presented and spacious holiday home. On the plus side was the large kitchen with modern appliances and a generous amount of crockery and utensils, although there was a lack of user instructions for some of the appliances, (for the less technically minded of us!). The central heating was excellent, (very welcome considering the weather!) and the gas fire in the lounge ensured cosy evening get togethers. The parking for 3 cars was a bonus. Local pubs and cafes were a short stroll away.
