Guests consistently praise the cottage's cleanliness, cosy ambience, and well-equipped facilities, including a kitchen and garden. The location is appreciated for its proximity to beaches and the town, despite some parking challenges. Comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere, with special mentions of a wood burner and dog-friendly touches, contribute to a delightful stay.
Reviewers frequently highlight the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and very clean, which indicates a high standard of hygiene maintained at the property.
The location is well-regarded for its closeness to beaches, the town, and other attractions, although parking is noted as a challenge. The property's position in a narrow street is mentioned, but its proximity to desirable destinations compensates for this.
Comfort is a strong point, with numerous mentions of cosy living spaces, comfortable beds, and a relaxing atmosphere. The presence of a wood burner and a safe garden for pets adds to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally praised, including a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. However, some minor issues with maintenance and lack of instructions for use are noted, as well as a damp games room.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through the provision of items such as dog beds, toys, and welcome treats like milk and biscuits. While these gestures are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts may vary and are not guaranteed.

As with most places in Devon parking is a problem so you'll have to put your car in the local long stay car park which is only a short walk away. Forget on street parking - the locals have that sewn up. House was lovely and comfortable and clean. Bideford is a great place to be based, enabling easy access to the local amazing beaches!.

There was milk in the fridge and a nice box of biscuits waiting for us. It was a pleasure to use the very well equipped kitchen, which we made use of a lot,due to the fact that we did not have good weather during our stay. The garden was a bonus for my dog, safe and enclosed. I loved all the little handmade" seaside" ornaments and various pictures around the property. Parking was an issue close to the property, but we were able to find spaces each day in nearby streets, which saved on paying parking fees for the near by car park. I found the stairs very challenging, and would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues or young children. A hand rail placed on the left side wall on leaving the bathroom i feel would be of benefit. I suggest a chair to be put in the double bedroom for somewhere to place your clothes at night, due to the room having no wardrobe or hanging space. A good base to visit Devon's coastline.
