Light and bright, Shannon Cottage is ideal for two and may be suitable for those who are less mobile. Full height glazed doors fill the open plan living/dining room with light, and here you’ll find comfy seating and a dining table for two. The spacious master bedroom is very comfortable and has an en-suite shower room. To the front is a small private patio with table and chairs ideal for sitting out and you are of course welcome to explore superb grounds and facilities that the estate has to offer.
Halwill Junction can be found within the centre of the Ruby Country, in easy reach of both the coast of Bude with its glorious beaches and the amazement of the Dartmoor National Park; it's a true gem from which to explore Devon. The settlement itself offers a pub and shop, as well as a rich history surrounding its Nature Reserve which was one a steam engine railway, perfect for a day of exploring. Not being interested in fishing, we were unusual among the guests at Kingslake but we appreciated strolling in the extensive grounds and around the lakes. It provided a good base for various visits and for walking on Dartmoor and we enjoyed two very good dinners in the restaurant.

Very nice thought on arriving scones clotted cream jam milk tea coffee sugar staff very nice young lady in resturant was so nice thought the menu was quite expensive good selection but sunday lunch was a bit of a let down beef very tough and cut to thick potatoes were very hard
