Still Waters is a centrally located apartment in Swanage, appreciated for its bright and airy atmosphere, with a selection of board games and pleasant window seats offering sea views. Guests have noted the convenience of its location for exploring the town, despite some concerns about noise and parking challenges.
Guests have reported the property as being in need of a deep clean, with mentions of mould in the bathroom and a general sense of neglect. Cleanliness appears to be an area for improvement.
The apartment's central location is highly valued for convenience, though it comes with the trade-off of noise at night and parking difficulties, as there is no allocated parking and it's often necessary to park a short walk away.
The property is described as comfortable, with nice window seats and a selection of games. However, the comfort is somewhat compromised by the unusual layout, with a bathroom downstairs and a noisy upstairs toilet.
Facilities and maintenance are areas of concern, with reports of broken windows, non-functional garden furniture, and a lack of amenities such as hand towels and a BBQ. The property would benefit from general maintenance.
The provision of board games and welcome goodies suggests a degree of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for future guests.

Swanage is a small, family-friendly beach village on the legendary Isle of Purbeck, at the eastern extremity of Dorset's famous Jurassic Coast. It is best known for its magnificent, gently shelving golden dunes. The little town has a variety of stores, taverns, and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is well-known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place in July. The charming Victorian wooden pier is a terrific spot to take a stroll or try fishing, and it's also a nice site to see the world go by, as it's frequently used as a launching point for divers.

Lovely welcome pack on arrival

All furniture broken and dangerous. Cupboards that could provide storage cluttered, being used by owner to store left over decorating materials and bits and bobs. Front door needs to be hung other way, nightmare for families accessing and egressing together. A bit tatty, broken window, awful blinds in kitchen, cupboards wrapped and now peeling off. Strong smell of damp. Very noisy at night.

The layout of the property is tricky with the main bathroom downstairs. The upstairs toilet is incredibly noises when you flush so didnât want to use it when kids were sleeping. The accommodation is nicely decorated but all a bit rough around the edges with some mould/damp in the bathroom, broken windows that havenât been repaired and everything felt in need of a deep clean. A few small extras that would make a difference - hand towels in the bathrooms, something to play with in the âgames roomâ upstairs, a bbq. The property is very central which while being convenient turned out to be very noisy at night. We werenât able to find nearby parking and consistently had to park 5 minutes walk away up a very steep hill. Great selection of board games for older kids/grown ups. Nice window seats to people watch the high street and view towards the sea. Thank you for the welcome goodies!
