A nice location and lodge for a holiday stay but things not as per the property description. No microwave (but description said there was), light bulbs need replacing, clock batteries need replacing, nowhere to hang clothes as small hanging area filled with extra bedding but too small for dresses anyhow. Very rude, intimidating and aggressive cleaner on exiting the Lodge. Poor service from Lyme Bay Holidays. Will never be booking with them again in future & have made a formal complaint. (Owner - hope you receive my formal complaint).

Great views of the coast and surrounding countryside . Be prepared for a steep walk back to the lodge from Charmouth village.

Our only slight criticisms would be that the princess found the double bed a little lumpy and the sofa nearest the tv requires restuffing. Both clocks were unusable, though being on holiday meant this was not an issue. The clock on the mantlepiece has a 'tick' Big Ben would be proud of and the brass bezelled clock by the front door has a leaky battery which we did not want to fiddle with. All in all a wonderful stay. We slept like logs in the serenely quiet inky blackness of the nights and marvelled at the wonderful views along the coastline to Golden Cap and beyond. The perfect base from which to explore the World famous Jurassic Coast and it's picturesque towns.
