Guests say

Guests have had a delightful stay at 2 Engine House, praising its high standard of decoration, cleanliness, and comprehensive equipment. The estate offers lovely walks and friendly locals, with a special mention for the nearby Koffee. Some minor issues were noted regarding directions, parking, and the need for better shower facilities and heating instructions.

Reviewers consistently mention the property being spotless and very clean, indicating a high level of cleanliness throughout their stay.

While the estate is described as wonderful and there is a mention of a nearby coffee spot, there is insufficient information to accurately score the location in relation to other amenities and attractions.

The property is well-equipped and provides a comfortable stay, though there were comments about the cold in the evenings and a preference for better shower facilities.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the inclusion of dog amenities. However, points are deducted for the lack of a proper shower upstairs and the need for clearer heating instructions.

The provision of a detailed guest information folder and recommendations for first-time visitors reflect thoughtfulness. No gifts are mentioned, so while the property is considerate of guest needs, it cannot be scored on gift provision.

Everything you would want was in the kitchen and of a very high quality. The estate was a lovely place to stay and nice to walk around. We really enjoyed our stay. The downsides for us were the low beams which we were not aware of before arrival. There was no starter pack for the wood burner. We bought logs and kindling wood and left them behind. The front door had to be locked as the mechanism didn’t keep the door closed and it rattled in the wind. We would like to have been able to adjust the heating. It was cold in the main living area but very hot in the bedrooms. We did mention that the roof had a leak in very heavy rain.

Would be nice to have a proper shower up stairs not just a hand held one over the bath. Someone had parked a small silver car in the turning area, although a sign said no parking! Never moved all week , think it belonged to a resident of one of the other properties. Just made it difficult to manoeuvre onto the small drive way of the Engine House.

Would have appreciated instructions for heating as it was quite cold in the evenings but other than that, it was a fantastic stay. Thank you for providing recommendations for places to eat and things to do- as first time visitors this was very helpful!
