Apartment 5 Victoria House is a lovely first-floor apartment situated in the popular coastal resort of Lyme Regis, on the Dorset coast. Once the station hotel, Victoria House is a very spacious and solidly built Victorian property which has been converted to apartments which have retained many features typical of the period including high ceilings and large windows providing plenty of natural light and taking full advantage of the views.
There is a private car park located at the rear of the building allowing you to arrive and unpack with ease. An internal staircase leads to the apartment, where you will find a delightful open-plan living area with a stylish kitchen and dining area, both enjoying the far-reaching views over the town and coastline beyond. A welcoming seating area makes the perfect spot to enjoy a before dinner aperitif or enjoying your morning coffee. Step out from this room onto the real feature of this apartment, a roof terrace with glass balustrading so obscuring none of the views which include Golden Cap and as far as Portland on a clear day. This wonderful space is perfect for the family to come together to enjoy dining alfresco around the table and chairs. The apartment has a separate lounge with wall mounted TV and large sofa bed, making an additional bedroom providing alternative sleeping options or for parties of six guests. The two bedrooms again boast the same high ceilings and windows dressed with sleek shutter blinds; a double with ensuite shower room and a twin room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and has the same high standard of finish and perfect for freshening up ahead of your adventures ahead.
It’s no secret that Lyme Regis is a hotspot for some of the most incredible beaches in the UK including beaches ideal for water sports, a sandy beach for those seeking a family-friendly spot to relax for the day and Monmouth beach a tranquil beach which is a favourite with fossil hunters.
Food lovers will relish the excellent choice of restaurants where you can enjoy local food and beverages or for those wanting the true seaside experience there is nothing better than eating fish and chips sat on the beach or on the famous Cobb Harbour where you can watch the boats come and go. Other popular activities include the Lyme Regis Museum, overlooking the bay and where you can discover 200 million years of history, from the remarkable discoveries of the fossil hunter Mary Anning to the many writers who have found inspiration in the town.
Whether you are seeking an action-packed adventure or simply enjoying the coastal air, this apartment at Victoria House is a wonderful location to experience it all.
The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

Good kitchen amenities. The location meant it can be noisy as it is on the main road. The en-suite bathroom had an unpleasant smelly initially. Once the shower was used, the smell was better.

The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved the balcony with the table and chairs, and the beautiful view. Yes, there is some traffic noise from early in the morning, but this is a few noisy vehicles, rather than a constant stream. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and modern. My only negative comment is the road noise. Traffic passing by all day and most of the night was very noticeable from the bedrooms and from the roof terrace.
