Guests say

Guests have consistently praised The Nightingale for its cosy atmosphere, immaculate presentation, and convenient location close to Weymouth Harbour. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the property's comfortable beds and homely decor have made stays enjoyable. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for additional amenities have been noted.

The property is frequently described as spotless and immaculate, indicating high standards of cleanliness. However, a mention of dog mess in the garden suggests occasional oversight.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful, yet within walking distance to the harbour and local amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring Weymouth and surrounding attractions.

Comfort is a standout feature, with multiple reviews highlighting the comfortable beds and pillows, as well as the cosy and warm atmosphere of the property.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped and newly refurbished. However, there are comments about missing items like a masher and chopping board, and a suggestion for a handrail for accessibility.

While guests have mentioned the provision of tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of these gestures or other thoughtful touches across all stays. Therefore, this score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

.we have stayed in many cottages around the maltings area over the years and the nightingale is by far the best…very clean and cosy, we felt at home from the first day..everything we could possibly need was there and the dog loved the large garden..also being able to park right next to the cottage was a big plus for us..next time we’re in Weymouth, will definitely be back..thanks again for a lovely relaxing week…

It took us about 10 minutes to walk from it into Weymouth. The beds were so comfortable, maybe the best I have ever had away from home. There was an issue with the tap in the sink in the bathroom, we received a call to tell us about it. it wasn't anything major, and nice to be notified. The area was very peaceful and easy to find. The only thing that would be an advantage would be a downstairs loo. All in all a great holiday. Thank you

Also a lovely smell of wood when you enter the property. Quiet location and 5 min walk (if that) to the harbour area. Walking distance to Weymouth shops, beach & Nothe Fort. Also a short drive to Durdle Dor, Lulworth Cove, West Bay & Dorchester if you want to explore a little further out like we did. Would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Weymouth.
