If travelling by car to Lulworth Cove, the nearest major road is the A352 at Wareham. From there, follow the A352 for one and a half miles until you reach the left turn that will take you on the B3070. Brown signs will point the way to Lulworth Cove and West Lulworth.
If travelling by train, the nearest stations to Lulworth Cove are Wool and Wareham. These are both on the main service of the South Western Railway, which runs between London Waterloo and Weymouth.
Three buses travel between Wool Railway Station to West Lulworth for Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door - numbers 15, 30 and X55. Follow signs from the bus stop at the top of the hill which point to the path and steps leading to the shingle beach.

Take a walk on the two mile stretch of the longer South West Coast Path which runs between Lulworth Cove and the fossilised forest. It’s a great way for children to learn about fossils from first hand experience.
This fascinating museum in nearby Bovington houses the world’s largest collection of tanks and military machines. Moving exhibitions and interactive displays bring soldiers’ stories to life.
This former hunting lodge is a magnificent 17th century building surrounded by parkland and woodland walks. There’s also a children;s playground and a tea room.
Situated within the 18 acre woodland landscape at Corfe Castle this is a fun-filled wild day out. There’s an inflatable outdoor water park with inflatables and a mud trail obstacle course for all the family.
