    Corfe Castle Holiday Cottages

With more than one thousand years of history on its doorstep, Corfe Castle, in Dorset's stunning Purbeck Hills, is not your average holiday destination. But the tiny village offers more than English Civil War history - ideally located in the heart of the so-called 'Isle' of Purbeck, the village is surrounded by the gorgeous Jurassic Coast, and some of the UK's best sea views. The exceptional beaches at Studland Bay are a must-visit while you're in the area.

To make the most of Corfe Castle's many attractions, we have a wide range of self-catering holiday cottages offering a home from home feel. If romance is on the cards, browse our cosy stone cottages and spend your evenings in front of an open fire. For a family holiday, you may prefer a larger house - try one of our barn conversions or farmhouses with big gardens and open-plan living rooms. We even have dog-friendly holiday homes with walks right on the doorstep.

Our cottages in Corfe Castle make the ideal base from which to explore the area. Children will love the enchanting model village, every detail constructed in perfect miniature, while Poole Harbour is a haven for watersports, with wakeboarders and windsurfers speeding through the waves. From walks on the Jurassic Coast to delicious cream teas, Corfe Castle has something for everyone. All you need to do is pack your bags!

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Miss Widger - Verified booking

We had an amazing stay in Figtree Cottage - our stay exceeded our expectations and we hope to return again next year. The cottage has everything you could need and more. So many thoughtful details have been added, including night sensor lights, comfortable garden furniture, cosy blankets and fluffy cushions, lots of kitchen equipment and puzzles, books and games. The cottage was stylishly decorated with a high quality finish - we loved the flooring, underfloor heating, Roman blinds and comfy reading chair. The garden was a lovely space to relax in with lots of greenery, birds, lovely views and the sound of the steam trains. Plenty of parking on the drive and a great location in the village. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay at Fig Tree Cottage over the New Year. It's a lovely property, with a good sized garden (ideal for our dog), and in a great location for walking into the village and the surrounding countryside. Plenty to do in and around Corfe Castle, and nice that you can do so much without having to use your car. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, and was very cosy and warm which was nice on the cold winter days. Would definitely recommend this property as it's an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and beyond.

This was a comfy and cosy cottage about a five minute walk from the middle of the village. 4 good pubs to choose from - amazing food in all of them and friendly staff. Beds were very comfy as well. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Wood burner gave out plenty of heat - please make sure you get dry, seasoned logs . We purchased some from the village but these were damp and a pain to light. Well enclosed and sizeable back garden. The kitchen was lovely - modern and stylish. I would definitely recommend and we will return next year.

We usually stay in Swanage for the May half-term but decided to stay in Corfe this year at Fig Tree Cottage and my 14yo & 8yo are already asking when we can go back to the cottage again. Incredibly well set-up, beautiful garden, and the comfiest beds I have every slept in away from home. Quite the treat to step out everyday with castle as your neighbour too. Thanks for a marvellous week!

    Corfe Castle

Guarding the principal route through the Purbeck Hills, the 1000 year old Corfe Castle’s dramatic remains stand in an elevated position as a representation of its colourful and significant history. The tumbledown, moss embellished walls and rugged beauty conceal its diverse and often turbulent past.
    Durdle Door
One of the most iconic landmarks in the whole of the UK, the towering natural limestone arch of Durdle Door can be found tucked away on Devon’s magnificent Jurassic Coast. Stretching on for 95 miles, the whole of the Jurassic Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to its ancient history and wild, windswept beauty. However, this dramatic arch of rock rising straight out of the sea is a particularly picturesque spot, even by Jurassic Coast standards.

Lulworth Cove is a stunning secluded cove on the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site which owes its existence to the collision of continents and the birth of the Alps and is considered one of the best places in the world to study geology.

    Bournemouth Beach

Benefiting from some of the warmest waters to be found in the UK, it's clear why Bournemouth beach is a favourite year on year. Poole Harbour

This large natural harbour was formed during the Ice Age and is the largest of its kind in Europe and second largest in the world. There's plenty to see and do, including watersports, fine dining options and fishing as well as numerous walking trails. There's also a number of islands, though most of these are privately owned. Dogs are welcome, though they must be leashed.

    The Tank Museum

The Tank Museum in Bovington houses 300 military machines and moving exhibitions representing the key battles of every major conflict since the First World War. Cafe & Shop.
