The Hideaway in Somerset is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and thoughtful touches such as welcome packs. Guests appreciate the enclosed garden for dogs, the hot tub, and the property's peaceful location. The host, Jane, is frequently mentioned for her warm welcome.
The majority of guests found The Hideaway to be spotlessly clean, with only one review mentioning cleanliness issues. This suggests that cleanliness is generally maintained to a high standard.
Guests are pleased with the location, finding it quiet and private, with easy access to local beaches and attractions. The proximity to dog-friendly areas is also a plus. However, one review mentioned noise from trains, slightly impacting the score.
Comfort is consistently highlighted, with guests satisfied with the beds, air conditioning, and overall cosiness of the cottage. The secure garden adds to the comfort for dog owners.
Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen and hot tub are appreciated, though some guests noted the hot tub can be challenging to start and suggested improvements such as better garden furniture and indoor cleaning tools.
The welcome packs with local produce and dog treats are well-received, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

So cozy and comfortable. It was late when we arrived so I spent a few minutes looking for a key safe (skyes instructions) but then spotted the keys in the garden door! Just wasnât sure if I was breaking into someoneâs property for a minute

On arrival there was a lovely goody box including fresh cakes and bread. We had forgotten our dog bowl, but no problem as one was supplied. The property owners were extremely welcoming and really have nothing but praise for the cottage.

I was very happy with the generous welcome pack including cake, cider, bread etc. The garden was lovely and private with loungers to make the most of the autumn sunshine. I would definatly recommend.
