Guests say

Fairway View 24 is a lodge that has received mixed feedback. Guests have praised its beautiful furnishings, peaceful location, and the thoughtful welcome packs. However, some have noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The lodge's comfort and views over the golf course are often highlighted as positives.

Cleanliness has been a point of contention among guests. While some found the lodge spotless, others reported it as not thoroughly cleaned, with dust, cobwebs, and dirty pans mentioned. The inconsistency leads to a slightly above average score.

The lodge's location is frequently commended for its beautiful views of the golf course and peaceful setting. It is also noted for being safe and close to amenities, making it a desirable spot for a holiday stay.

Comfort has received mixed reviews. Some guests found the beds very comfortable, while others reported mattresses of poor quality. The spaciousness and furnishings are well-liked, but the issues with some beds affect the score.

Facilities are generally well-received with a well-equipped lodge and nice touches like a welcome pack. However, maintenance issues such as loose bath panels, lack of toilet paper, and missing oven gloves have been pointed out, suggesting room for improvement.

Thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs that some guests received, which were highly appreciated. However, as these gifts are not consistently mentioned, it suggests they may not be a guaranteed amenity for every guest.

Great sense of space both inside n outside. Peaceful but close enough to facilities when required. Great for exploring both coastal and inland. Would definitely recommend

Provided most things we needed apart from drying cloths and a cloth to wipe down kitchen work tops and table. As others have commented, access to the gym wasn’t free, we had to pay half price. Wells definitely worth a visit - Cathedral and Bishops Palace have a great dual ticket. Clarks village was also great, very dog friendly.

.....sadly this wasn't to be. On arrival we found the gate latch having been completely snapped off so were unable to secure the gate which with 2 dogs was not a good start. There was a note in the guest book to say it had been reported but no one came to at least try to temporarily fix during our stay. The general cleanliness of the lodge was not great with dust, cobwebs etc. (I was an nhs housekeeping supervisor for many yrs). We looked for something to clean around with but no cleaning products left only washing up liquid. Alot of the furniture was looking and felt quite worn. The corner sofa was not secure and kept separating, the mattress in the main bedroom both sides are visibly sunken, some of the bedding was ripped or had marks on, main bathroom shower screen leaked so water went over the floor. We were all very disappointed as its such a lovely lodge in a great location with lovely views. It just looks and feels like it's sadly not been very well looked after and maintained. If it was brought back up to its previous high standards we would love to return but sadly won't at present due to how we found it this year. We even came home early as we weren't very comfortable.
