About this property

Bees Knees is a beautifully refurbished barn in the heart of Exmoor National Park with a bright and welcoming interior which includes an open plan layout in the living area, kitchen and dining space. Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms – a double with a king size bed and access to the patio area outside, and a comfortable twin with plenty of storage.

The family bathroom is also on this floor and has a bathtub and shower over, while a cloakroom can be found downstairs on the ground floor. Outside to the front of the cottage, you’ll discover a beautiful garden with a table, chairs and BBQ where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly in the sunshine or a fabulous meal in the fresh air. A shared orchard offers stunning views across the landscape, and here you can enjoy a walk, picnic or a nap under the shade of a tree.

Guests are invited to roam the farm and explore. There are footpaths that go through the farmland as well including the lost village of Clicket in the valley which was last inhabited just over 100 years ago.

This bright and airy room is open plan with the dining area and kitchen is furnished with two leather sofas, a floor lamp, side tables and a Smart TV with Freeview and a DVD player

Open plan with the living/dining area, the kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge /freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, cafetiere, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board

Dining Area

Open plan with the living room and kitchen, the dining area has a table with seating for four

This upstairs bedroom has fantastic countryside views and is furnished with a king size bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and reading lamps

This bedroom has a door opening out to a small outside to the garden

Bedroom Two

Also upstairs this bedroom has two single beds and a bedside table with lamps

Family Bathroom

The bathroom is located upstairs and has a bathtub with shower over, WC, heated towel rail and hand basin

A cloakroom with WC and handbasin is on the first floor

Outside

This cottage has its own private fenced garden with a wooden loveseat. Beyond is an orchard area which is shared with Bees Knees cottage next door.

A charcoal *BBQ is provided

The owners welcome guests to roam the farm and explore. We ask that guests shut the gates and be aware of the farm animals that are in the fields. Guests are also asked to please keep dogs on the lead when exploring the farm
