9 Malthouse Court is a well-located cottage in Watchet, Somerset, appreciated for its proximity to local amenities and the harbour. Guests have found it to be a convenient base for exploring the area, with some enjoying a comfortable stay and the added touch of a welcome pack. However, opinions on cleanliness and maintenance vary, with some guests reporting issues that impacted their experience.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean upon arrival, while others reported concerns such as mould, dirty kitchenware, and stained furnishings. The variance in feedback suggests inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its closeness to the harbour, shops, and pubs. Its central position in Watchet makes it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore the town and surrounding attractions.
Comfort levels are seen as variable; some guests report a very comfortable bed and seating, while others mention uncomfortable beds and sofas. The replacement of a bed has been noted, indicating efforts to improve comfort.
Facilities and maintenance feedback is mixed. Some guests are satisfied with the amenities provided, but others mention a lack of cleaning materials, wardrobe space, and issues with appliances. There are also reports of maintenance needs such as tightening toilet seats and blocked drains.
While some guests appreciated the welcome pack and the provision of a parking permit, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It is very close to the harbour and all the shops, pubs and cafes. The car park is right next door and the permit was arranged by Ruby with no problems. We had a lovely stay and found it very comfortable, especially the big bed. The outside area is small and could be made much more welcoming with a few tweeks, new furniture, plants and maybe some soft lights. We had an issue with the kitchen tap being very loose but Ruby did all she could to get it sorted. Would definately recommend number 9 to others. Communication with Ruby was very good and found her very helpful, thank you x

Blackout blinds to keep out light and heat would have meant I could sleep during our stay in the hot weather. Some fans for the rooms would also have helped. Windows don't open very much which added to the heat. We paid for a weeks parking as no communication as to whether our free parking has been organised. As I say small things took the edge off an otherwise nice cottage.
