Following a short stroll up the hill from the harbour, come to find this apartment at the end of a delightful terrace and get settled in. Come in from days on the beach to the open-plan living space, and relax on the sofa as a bottle of wine is opened and a toast is made to your holiday adventures. Rustle up a quick dish using the useful kitchen space, where a mini oven and 2-ring hob can assist you in producing a tasty meal to be eaten out on your own private patio overlooking the harbour below, an idyllic way to end another wonderful day. Retire to the bedroom where a double bed awaits behind a screen, decorated in crisp white with attractive furnishings to match where you can store your things. Freshen up in the shower room where a shower cubicle, basin and WC provide a neat spot to wash away the sand and sea water. Find Brixham to be a perfect fusion of old and new, where an abundance of independent shops, restaurants and pubs sit alongside the quaint fishing harbour and you can watch the trawlers landing their catch. On the edge of Brixham is Shoalstone Beach, home to an outdoor seawater swimming pool, built into the rocky foreshore; spend sunny days here lounging on the beach or dipping in the seawater pool, relishing the English summer. Resting further south close to the mouth of the River Dart is the wonderful National Trust property Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens, a 1920s house providing a lovely day out, with amazing exotic gardens to explore. Within reach of the superb town of Dartmouth too, Hidden Treasure will be a perfect base for a couple's adventures in Devon.

The property is perfect for a couple, it is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The views of the harbour from the table and chairs outside is great, especially if the weather is good for an outside breakfast. There are hills and steps for getting to the town and back but as I am in my 70s I found no problems, anywhere in this area is up and down. Would not hesitate to use Hidden Treasure again.

It's a compact property but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed is extremely comfortable and the outside seating, although small, was perfect for enjoying the evening watching the harbour. The sofa is not designed for comfort or lounging but thankfully we didn't need to use it much as the weather was in our favour. The mini oven and hob are only really sufficient to heat things through as opposed to actual cooking but there are plenty of places to eat out nearby. The shower is very good but the shower room is extremely narrow so there's not much room for manoeuvre. Brixham is a lovely place and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The property owners sent us a handy video showing the access to the property and its parking space and left a generous welcome pack including tea, coffee and fresh milk for our arrival as well as a few treats ( and a bottle of wine!)

View across part of the harbour from very small outside terrace. Comfortable bed but no comfortable seating for relaxing. The owners were very helpful and the 'treasure box' a nice idea. Ideal for those spending most of the day out after a good night's sleep and an al-fresco breakfast overlooking the sea. Whilst we found the property a bit small and basic, this is fully reflected in its economical rental price.
