Nearby, you can explore one of the well-marked byways which weave their way across the unspoilt countryside. Alternatively, enjoy the beautifully-restored Kennet and Avon Canal as it winds its way through the Vale of Pewsey towards Devizes, before it descends the magnificent Caen Hill flight of locks, one of the highest in the country. Within an easy drive from Urchfont, you can take in a visit to historic Stonehenge, the splendid cities of Bath and Salisbury, Bowood House and Lacock Abbey, as well as Longleat House and Safari Park.
