Guests say

Wye Valley Cottage is praised for its peacefulness, well-equipped nature, and beautiful surroundings. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly amenities and the property's suitability for walks and local pubs. The cottage's cleanliness and comfort are well-regarded, although some minor suggestions for improvements are noted. The location offers stunning views and a variety of activities, despite access via narrow lanes being a challenge for some.

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it as clean and well-maintained. However, a few guests mentioned areas for improvement, such as an overgrown garden and the need for a more thorough outdoor tidy-up.

The location is highly valued for its beauty and tranquillity, with easy access to walks and nature. The narrow access lane and occasional ferry service disruptions are mentioned as drawbacks, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. Some guests noted the stairs as creaky and the heating system as less efficient, but these comments are relatively few compared to the overall positive feedback on comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom, and offers amenities for dogs. Some guests suggest updates to the patio furniture and mention the lack of Wi-Fi as a downside. The road to the cottage is also noted as a challenge for some visitors.

While guests appreciate the dog-friendly touches, there are mixed comments about human amenities, with some guests suggesting the addition of welcome gifts such as a welcome basket. As there are no consistent references to gifts being provided or expected, a score cannot be accurately given.

North Ferries Inn a short walk away, advisable to book if you have dogs - take a torch for the walk back! Cottage tricky to find but owner sent helpful info for how to get there.

Gorgeous views across the river and two lovely pubs nearby. The gardens were great for our little one to explore. Would stay again.
