Station House in Shrewsbury is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-stocked kitchen. The property is particularly appreciated for its enclosed garden, making it ideal for dogs, and the games room is a hit with children. Guests enjoy the historical charm of the former station, and the passing trains add a unique touch, though some find them noisy. Welcoming touches such as Prosecco and cake are noted, though not guaranteed.
Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, noting it is well-maintained with clean bedding and towels. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local attractions and amenities, though some guests note the presence of trains and the distance from the village as minor drawbacks. The enclosed garden and nearby walking areas are appreciated by dog owners.
The property is frequently described as comfortable, with ample space for large groups and secure areas for pets. Some guests mention soft couches and small towels, but overall, the comfort level is high, with special mentions of the quality of the beds.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and games room. However, there are comments about minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements such as better outdoor lighting and sharper kitchen knives.
While several reviews mention thoughtful touches like Prosecco and cake upon arrival, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, it is not possible to accurately score this category. The thoughtfulness of the owners is evident, but the inconsistency of these gestures means a score cannot be provided.

We had a weekend stay and walked locally one day - visited Shrewsbury the next - both delightful and with so much to see both in nature and the historic town. We all had a go at the air hockey - shrieks of laughter! and spent long evenings around the dining table - talking and taking our time, lovely to do that. The garden was perfect for the 10 and 8 year old - also Nacho, the puppy. Thank you to our hosts for everything - so thoughtfully provided.

This cottage was so lovely, the facilities were absolutely great for 10 of us plus a toddler. Location is perfect to get to Shrewsbury and probably other places but we were lucky with the weather so used the garden to sit out in. It has 2 en-suites and a family bathroom but also a downstairs toilet which isn't mentioned in the listing and is a bonus. The single beds weren't the most comfortable but that didn't spoil our weekend. The games room is a great family place too with a games console, table tennis table, air hockey plus numerous other things to entertain children and adults. The large family dining table was also perfect for us all to sit around and have a meal and a wine and cheese night. Really is a wonderful place to stay. Loved our long weekend here. We would definitely book this place again in the future.

The house was lovely and spacious and we loved the location too. Would highly recommend for a large get together. We liked the trains whizzing by outside too! They did not bother us at all as came quite irregularly and were so fast that you barely noticed them.
