Guests say

Windy Mundy Farm is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its spaciousness, impressive main hall, and suitability for large groups. The enclosed garden is appreciated for its safety for children and pets, and the property's views and character are consistently lauded. The kitchen is noted for being well-equipped, and the property's warmth and cleanliness are highlighted. While some minor maintenance issues are mentioned, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, making it a recommended choice for family gatherings and group stays.

Guests consistently describe the property as clean and welcoming, with several reviews specifically mentioning its spotless condition upon arrival. The provision of bedding and towels adds to the sense of cleanliness and preparedness for guests.

The property's location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views and a sense of seclusion. However, the state of the access road, with its potholes, is a recurring concern, which slightly impacts the location's overall score.

Comfort is a strong point for Windy Mundy Farm, with numerous reviews praising the comfortable beds and the cosy yet spacious living areas. The property's warmth and the enclosed garden contribute to a relaxing stay, although some comments about water pressure and the need for furniture updates prevent a perfect score.

The property boasts well-equipped kitchen facilities and ample space for dining and socialising. However, several reviews cite issues with water pressure, the state of the games room, and the need for minor repairs and updates, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the property's amenities and the helpfulness of the property manager, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness in hosting. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

We stayed with friends for my husband’s 40th birthday & we were all blown away. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need, the rooms are spacious each having their own bathroom & the living room is really cosy, despite how big it is. We all had such a great weekend. Hopefully we’ll be back!!

It was a party of 11 adults and the house was perfect. All the rooms were spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities to cook for a large party. There was plenty of room for people to chat in small groups as well as for us to eat together at the large sociable dining table. The location is quite isolated (which was perfect for us as there was a bit of Karaoke going on) so there are no neighbours to disturb !! The house itself has a very welcoming feel, 'farm house' with some very stylish features and everyone commented on how comfortable it felt i.e. you felt immediately at home there. We mostly stayed at the house but did venture into Shrewsbury which is about 30 mins by car and is a lovely town. We also took our dog for a walk along the river and he had a lovely time. The shops were a bit different and characterful with some standard retailers as well as niche boutiques. A few people from our group visited the Shrewsbury prison tour which they found very interesting and worthwhile. A couple of minor points (as we would highly recommend this house). It was a little tricky to find so some improved instructions would help. We went along the track road a number of times and turned back not realising how far along the house is. Location of keys to access the sauna etc was not clear - again a few more instructions would help. The hot water pressure is weak and maybe a bit more guidance on re cycling bottles etc. Thank you for letting us stay in this wonderful house - we had a fabulous time !!! xxx
