Guests have had a delightful experience at The Hen House, praising its cleanliness, stylish comfort, and well-equipped nature. The tranquil location offers picturesque countryside, with plenty of activities and walks nearby. The hot tub is a recurring highlight, and the hosts receive commendations for their friendliness and helpfulness. While some guests found the living space and sofa slightly small for four adults, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Reviewers consistently mention that The Hen House is very clean, with several comments highlighting the spotless condition on arrival. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness maintained by the property.
The property's location is frequently described as quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views and proximity to local attractions and walks. It's well-regarded for its tranquillity and scenic surroundings, although a few guests mentioned limited Wi-Fi connectivity.
The comfort of The Hen House is generally praised, especially the beds and the well-equipped nature of the property. However, a few guests noted that the living area could feel cramped for four adults, and the sofa was not to everyone's liking.
Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen equipment, and outdoor space are highly appreciated by guests. The maintenance of these facilities is also commended. Some minor feedback on furniture size and Wi-Fi reliability slightly affects the score.
Many guests were touched by the thoughtful gestures of the hosts, such as the provision of a bottle of Prosecco and other welcome treats. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cabin was absolutely spotless and our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We will be back again soon!

The sofa in the lounge was too low, for the same reasons and difficult to get up from. There were no other comfy chairs in the property, only 4 kitchen chairs. No chairs in the bedrooms. The cups and glasses were in a cupboard too high to reach and behind a board which made it difficult to get them out. There were also lots of flies about. Fly spray was provided but made no noticeable difference.
