Yoxall 1 mile. A beautifully presented, rural cottage attached to the owner's home, situated on a smallholding in a quiet location Westwing as situated in Hadley End, Yoxall. This spacious Yoxall cottage offers a comfortable holiday base, and is a great choice for couples looking for an escape in this lovely Staffordshire location. With charming country views from the front of this Yoxall cottage and a large patio with a pretty garden overlooking open farmland to the rear, you will also find a good-sized, well-equipped kitchen and upstairs is a wonderful en-suite bedroom, complete with the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe. Outside this Staffordshire cottage is a very pretty garden, which is shared with the owners, where you can relax beside the pond on a warm evening and enjoy the wildlife and stunning sunsets. The busy little village of Yoxall lies within the National Forest and sits on the banks of the River Swarbourn. It offers a wonderful array of amenities and charming walks, It has a butchers, bakers, Post Office & general store, florist and 3 pubs serving food. Hoar Cross Hall Spa is nearby and the National Memorial Arboretum is six miles away and well worth a visit. The peace and quiet of the Peak district, with its maze of footpaths and cycle routes is within easy reach as is the magnificent Cannock Chase. Take some time to visit one of the local historic estates like Chatsworth House and the National Trust’s Shugborough Hall, Kedleston Hall or nearby Sudbury Hall and Calke Abbey is just 40 minutes away over in South Derbyshire. The lovely market towns of Lichfield and Ashbourne are a short drive away. Lichfield has a beautiful cathedral and you can visit Samuel Johnson’s Birthplace Museum and Erasmus Darwin’s House. Ashbourne has interesting shops and restaurants, antique shops and grand Georgian buildings. This Yoxall cottage is the ideal spot for a cosy, country getaway at any time of year.

    Paula and Stuart are at hand to offer advice and information, they’ve got a superlative “cottage” at hand, a true home from home. Kitchen had every gadget going, the only fault, if you could call it that, it lacked a small hi-fi unit or docking station

    From the moment we stepped into the immaculately presented Westwing, we felt at home. It's a comfortable spacious holiday home with everything you need to make your stay perfect. The modern kitchen is really well equipped and even has a rolling pin and slow cooker! It was nice that there were plastic food boxes, cool bag and ice blocks for us to make picnics to take out. We loved the beautiful sunny garden with its spacious patio area. We found the bed very comfortable and the modern bathroom has a great walk in shower. There's so much to do around the area that we barely got through half of our list. So we have already planned our return stay. (Thank you so much for the tray of welcome goodies. So thoughtful, you are perfect hosts)
