Very good situation in quiet hamlet backing onto woods so plenty of walks for our Basset Hounds. Many interesting places within easy reach: Oakamoor village on old canal 2 miles away to well known Dovedale, The Roaches, Buxton, Wirksworth, and Bakewell within 40 minutes drive (and Alton Towers close by though no interest to us). Garden dog escape proof which is nice. Proprietor always kind and obliging - even found a tea strainer for us.

The house provided everything we needed as a base for our holiday and much more. Our dog Eddie fell in love with the paddock instantly. Very helpful owners and overall very pleased with every aspect of the booking.
