The lodge is well equipped with everything you need for a your stay. It is on a quiet site which is well maintained, plenty to do in the local area which makes it a great base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. I would highly recommend a stay in the lodge, great for rest and relaxation.

The pictures shown looks like it's a holiday home on its own with plenty of space but it is on a busy site with a play field for children in hears Reach of shouting and noise the home is rough around the edges with rusty radiator in the bathroom toilet button missing carpets looked like been pulled up and not put back down correctly paint around the top looked not finished and then for the mattress in main room is total passed its best on the first night it was very hard to sleep at all so got more duvets from other beds to try make them better but still no better for second night and we ended up in the single beds which we did again on the last night which was not acceptable when we had gone away for a nice weekend together to be sleeping apart on Sunday morning we rang sykes and was a complete waste of time as all they said was they would pass our complaint on to the owners which were not in the uk and asked if it was just our personal preference on the mattress or was it past it which it was I would not stay again there or use sykes again for any holidays

It didn’t smell the freshest to me though - my husband didn’t notice it but I’m wondering if maybe pets were once allowed and the smell has lingered? Nothing a plug in wouldn’t solve :) we appreciated the welcome basket and note from the owners but were disappointed to learn the home cooked authentic Thai food advertised in the welcome note/pack wasn’t available as the owners were away. Perhaps don’t include that info if you’re not there in future. A peaceful well kept site but the pub lacked atmosphere and nothing else onsite or close enough to walk to as far as we could make out. We were very blessed with the weather however and had some fab days out - Malham Cove and Bolton Abbey, both approx 20-30 mins by car. All in all a successful trip and pleasant property. Would definitely choose somewhere with wifi in future though!
