Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but overall, guests are delighted with their stays and often express a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently report that the cottage is extremely clean, with only one mention of an issue with the cooker. This appears to be an isolated incident, as the overwhelming majority of reviews do not raise cleanliness concerns.

The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with the cottage being in close proximity to a pub and within easy reach of local attractions. The quiet village setting is also appreciated for its charm and accessibility to walks and nature.

Comfort is a strong point for Corner Cottage, with guests finding the beds and sofas comfy and the cottage cosy. There are some mentions of steep stairs and uneven paths, which could be a concern for those with mobility issues, but overall, the cottage is seen as a comfortable retreat.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are some comments about the shower temperature fluctuation and the cooker cleanliness, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.

While the reviews reflect a high level of satisfaction with the cottage's amenities and the owner's helpfulness, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

). The front and back gardens were very well kept with lovely fruit trees, raspberries and flowers. Back garden was completely secure, perfect for our dog. Previous reviews had mentioned some signs of wear and tear but for a cottage of its age, I think this is all just part of its character and charm. Owner was very friendly and helpful in providing key collection information and some reminders / tips about our stay. Would absolutely recommend.

Cottage was wonderfully quirky and so very comfortable and well equipped. The first cottage we have stayed in that has been genuinely dog friendly, even down to the doggy treats. No instructions and no do’s and don’ts! Also well situated for walks and places of interest. Will definitely look at staying again, and would not hesitate in recommending it.

The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and dog friendly with walks from the door. Our host was very quick to fix a minor issue with the bath tap. The pub next door is friendly, has a good selection of beers and wines and there was no discernible noise coming from it. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would gladly return should our travels take us back to North Yorkshire.
