This modern terraced cottage rests on The Bay Holiday Park and lies in close proximity of local amenities and the beach. Perfect for a small family or couples, this retreat offers a welcoming stay throughout the year in a wonderful seaside location. As you walk inside, an entrance hall leads to a cloakroom and an open plan living area. The duck egg blue sofas give off a refreshing feel, and you can relax here throughout the day, next to the dining area, ideal for enjoying a home-cooked meal in the evening. Afterwards, why not wander outside through the French doors and spend some time on the patio area, perhaps with a refreshing drink amongst the peace and quiet or socialising with your friends. The contemporary kitchen has a luxury feel, with a black counter top and neutral coloured units that complement the interior well. Wander up to the first floor where you will find a light and airy double bedroom hosting a walk-in wardrobe. The twin bedroom offers an alternative, for the children or additional guests to feel right at home. Close to these, a family bathroom has a bath with a rainfall shower over, providing a lovely place to get ready ahead of the day, or to unwind after a long adventure. The Bay Holiday Park offers extensive communal grounds, with picnic areas and two lakes, as well as a host of outdoor activities including fishing, tennis and bike hire. Guests can book scuba diving, archery and fencing lessons, whilst the indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room will be a big hit with everyone. The path to Reighton Sands beach extends from the Holiday Park and is approximately a 15/20 minute walk and steep in places. Filey Town is approximately a one hour walk on the beach from the Holiday Park. Please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. Nice walking distance to beach too.

On Sunday there was an extra activity to replace the pool (football) but not the rest of the week. We were given access to a pool at another facility but there were no additional activities locally even though it was in school holiday time. Regarding the property it would help if the house number was on the booking details, we had to ask in the office to find it.

Didnât realise it was a Holiday Park (Ex Butlins) when I booked. The accommodation was very good. Sofas need addressing as reported in previous feedbacks, but didnât ruin stay. The Holiday Park had a Pub (Drinks not cheap) Restaurant (Food OK) with Shop (items not cheap but convenient) Gym, Swimming Pool, Amusement Arcade & Tennis Courts. Local Shops 1-3 miles away. Pub outside Holiday Park is about 30 minutes walking distance & very friendly, Menu very good & friendly atmosphere. Locations we visited nearby, Filey (3 miles), Scarborough (8), Robin Hood Bay (25) & Whitby (28). These places worth visiting as well as other places. Although we didnât have the best of weather, Myself, Wife & Dog all had a good time. Overall I would recommend this place, whether âDottiesâ or any of the other properties. Itâs a pity the Pub & Shop prices are high & Sofas not so comfortable, but these have not stopped us recommending this accommodation for staying.
