Cottage was good, although a little cosier than Sykes pictures portrayed #wideanglelense. There is some maintenance required to the grout in the flooring in the kitchen and hallway which meant constant hoovering. Oven very slow and uneven heating - My friend needs a medal for cooking a roast in it. Also would suggest relocation of TV / Seating as a few bumped heads and possibly broken toes due to position of 2 seater under stairs. Lock essential for the bathroom door, such a small thing, but a massive difference when sharing with another couple, which Wood Cottage leans towards. There were no bin liners in or any spare bags provided for the one small bathroom bin. Nor were sifficient firelighters or enough kindling provided to enable the fire to be lit even once either. Some DVDs and games would be good - realise after staying in other cottages that Covid 19 was a perfect reason to clear all clutter but the general feeling now is that a few basic items, such as a few games, dvds etc should again be available for use at hirers risk. We all loved the large, fenced, garden and the fact that the owner despite being next door left us to it but were on hand to deal with any issues. Thanks for a lovely stay.
