Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the charming, quirky character of the cottage. While the property is noted for its steps and low ceilings, the overall experience is one of a cosy, welcoming stay, with special mention of the thoughtful touches like welcome treats.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.

The location is frequently highlighted as 'great' and 'perfect', being central, close to local attractions, and tucked away for quietness, suggesting an ideal spot for visitors.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the cottage comfortable and the bed very comfy. However, a few guests mentioned low ceilings and uneven flooring, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the property described as 'well equipped'. Some guests noted the property's quirkiness and the powerful shower, but the mention of a bathroom downstairs and the need for a torch slightly affects the score.

Guests were delighted by welcome treats, which reflect a degree of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this is noted with appreciation for the kind gesture.

Beautiful little apartment in an amazing location in the old town. Really nicely decked out, with enough space for a couple - and their dog. Downstairs is cosy and upstairs is quite spacious, with plenty of storage. We visited in October but imagine the terrace is a great spot for a pre-dinner drink in summer. Be warned, you can't reach the cottage by car at all, and need to lug suitcases up a lot of stairs, so wouldn't be suitable at all for anyone with mobility issues, or who struggles carrying items upstairs. Also ceilings are very low, for lanky folk like me!

This is a very pretty cottage in the centre of the town but also very quiet. There are a lot of steps to it so would not suit someone with mobility issues, and you have to take your luggage quite a way from the carpark. However well worth it once you get there. Whitby is the prettiest place you could imagine, and we are definitely going again.

The cottage is lovely inside, decorated tastefully and modern but still remains charming. The location is great, tucked away off the main shopping street with plenty of restaurants and cosy pubs to visit. Beach is beautiful and the cottage is by the 199 steps. We loved our stay at here and would definitely stay again.
