It is well-equipped and considered ideal for both short and extended stays, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, being close to the harbour and central to Whitby's attractions. The convenience and ease of access to local sights contribute to a high score.

Guests find the property comfortable, with cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. However, some guests mention issues with early morning light and a lack of grab rails in the shower, which slightly lowers the score.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, with special mentions of the quality bedding and well-equipped kitchen. Some maintenance issues like heating problems and hot water temperature concerns are noted, leading to a slightly reduced score.

While guests are pleased with the overall experience, there is insufficient information regarding the provision of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

We must thank the owners for their generosity. When we originally booked the cottage, we believed that we had booked Saturday to Saturday,. Unfortunately, when we arrived to enjoy our stay on the Saturday afternoon, we discovered that we had in fact, booked Friday to Friday. Thankfully, the very kind owners allowed us to stay for the full week at no extra cost to us, a most generous concession in their part. We will definitely book Charlotte House again in the future and would recommend it highly.
