Jack's House in York offers a cosy and family-friendly base for exploring the North York Moors & Coast. Guests appreciate the prompt attention from the owner and the home's ability to comfortably accommodate a family. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights were noted, the property's charm and location provide a delightful stay for visitors looking to enjoy the local sights.
Guests have reported that the property could improve on cleanliness, with mentions of a dirty oven, improperly cleaned dishes, and cobwebs. However, these seem to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent trend.
While the reviews positively describe the property's location as a base for exploring the area, there are no specific details that allow for a precise score on location.
The property is generally seen as comfortable, especially for families, with cosy rooms that the kids loved. However, there are comments about the shower height and steep stairs that may affect comfort for taller individuals.
Facilities are adequate for a family stay, but there are mentions of minor maintenance issues such as a bin needing fitting and wind blowing through the front door, indicating room for improvement.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so this score cannot be determined from the available reviews.
