The Orangery is a well-received cottage, praised for its cosy atmosphere, beautiful location, and the owner Jamie's hospitality. Guests enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub and the unique charm of the property, with special mentions of the welcome gifts adding to their experience. While some noted minor maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is one of a delightful stay, with many expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found The Orangery to be clean and tidy upon arrival, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A few mentioned signs of wear and the need for attention to detail, but these were not the prevailing opinions.
The property's location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and proximity to beautiful beaches, coves, and villages. It offers a peaceful setting that is still convenient for exploring Aberdeenshire.
Guests frequently complimented the comfort of the cottage, particularly the bed, and appreciated the warm and homely feel. The Orangery room and the presence of a wood burner added to the overall comfort.
The facilities, including the unique hot tub, were generally appreciated, though some guests reported issues with maintenance and the time it takes to heat the hot tub. Despite this, the enjoyment of the facilities was evident.
While many guests were delighted by the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts, there is insufficient information to guarantee such gestures for future guests. The owner's responsiveness and hospitality, however, suggest a considerate approach to guest experiences.

Comfortable, clean accommodation for 2 people and our dog with everything we needed. We enjoyed some pleasant walks nearby...Fyvie Castle, Craigston Castle and Cullen Beach to Bow Fiddle Rock in mostly lovely weather for November. We had a lovely lunch with great food and very friendly welcome at the cafe at Portsoy harbour.

We loved our 2 weeks here. The cottage is easy to find on satnav, vast grounds for our dog to wander on in the day. We didnt use the hot tub so can't feedback, the cottage itself is cosy and warm and everything you need is there even with cleaning products, tea towels etc ( i always bring my own but much appreciated) the bed is comfy and warm at night, best nights sleep we had. The orangery we didn't sit in at all but i'm sure some people choose to sit in it with the fire on at night. A lovely cottage and fully recommend and would definately return.
