Outside, there is a quaint decking area boasting views over a field and the nearby bay, the perfect spot for your morning coffee in the fresh air. Begin your tour with a leisurely stroll down to the Port Appin centre, which is home to a plethora of attractive art boutiques, a practical grocery stocked with all household supplies, and two friendly local pubs where you can have a wonderful hot meal washed down with a cool pint of ale. Cross the gorgeous Loch Linnhe to the Isle of Lismore, which is home to charming historical monuments like Achanduin Castle and Castle Coeffin or take a scenic car ride across to Fort William, where you can drink up local history at the West Highland Museum and the magnificent Saint Andrew's Church. Hike up the renowned Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, or enjoy a more leisurely stroll through the Highland Titles Nature Reserve. Port Appin is a lovely beach hamlet with several neighbouring attractions. It's a heaven for outdoor enthusiasts, with wonderful hikes, bike trails, and watersports. The community has two award-winning hotels, a supermarket/post office, a bicycle rental business, and jetty fishing. From the modest jetty, a short ferry trip will take you over the Lynn of Lorn to Lismore, the most accessible of the Argyll islands. Oban, to the south, and Fort William, with Britain's tallest peak, Ben Nevis, are well worth a visit.
