This charming holiday cottage with a charming decor, has the loch on its doorstep and is the perfect place for a getaway without disturbances from modern life.

Located in the quiet hamlet of Bridge of Gaur, at the head of Loch Rannoch, this holiday let has an abundance of waterside walks on its doorstep. Take a hike up Schiehallion, the perfect Munro for beginners, or travel further to Ben Alder (49 miles) which is a little more challenging. If cycling is more your thing, bike around Loch Rannoch straight from the property or hire a boat and enjoy the peaceful silence and wildlife. The remote Rannoch station is just 6 miles away and you can travel along the Harry Potter' railway line along to the west coast. For some history, visit Blair Castle (28.5 miles) or Castle Menzies (28 miles). Inside, pretty traditional features are paired perfectly with contemporary styling. The spacious entrance hall welcomes you in to start your relaxing holiday. Sit and wind down in the cosy lounge by the open fire; curl up with a good book on the sofas among calming blue tones or pop a DVD in and watch a favourite show. The galley kitchen is perfectly formed to cook up a tasty meal for everyone, and you can enjoy it in the dining room with its rich dark woods. There's also a separate WC on the ground floor. Upstairs, a peaceful double bedroom with a fireplace and superb views of the field across to the river will ensure you drift off into a perfect night's sleep. There's a further single room with plenty of storage space and a twin bedroom, both of which have soft lighting and stunning views. The bathroom has a pretty freestanding bath, ideal for a soak after a long day out walking. Outside, the extensive garden is fully enclosed so children can happily play on the lawn within your sight. Go out and explore the woodland area with them and see if you can spot some of the local wildlife. You've got access to the loch straight from the front of the house, so make sure you get out there and explore!
