Guests say

Drover's Way is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views of Loch Awe, and wildlife encounters. Guests appreciate the peaceful, remote location and the comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. The friendly owners are often mentioned for their hospitality. While the drive to the cottage is noted as lengthy, the seclusion contributes to the tranquil experience.

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting the property's tidiness and well-kept condition.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and wildlife, contributing to a peaceful retreat. However, the remote setting and distance from shops and amenities slightly lower the score.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. The presence of a woodburner and the tranquil environment add to the comfort level.

The cottage is described as well-equipped with modern facilities like a ceramic hob and dishwasher. However, a few comments about the lack of wardrobes and bathroom safety features suggest room for improvement.

Several reviews mention welcome treats and the owners' helpfulness, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and not all reviews mention them, the score reflects this variability.

Thanks to a well-stocked bird feeder at the bottom of the garden, we were treated to a host of different birds throughout the day. Others report seeing pine martins and red squirrels. We weren't so lucky, but on our last night the skies cleared and we saw the Northern Lights. Unforgettable! We are so grateful to Elspeth for a wonderful week in Durran.

The location is a wee bit remote for those ex[pecting the bright lites, but people should know that if they use Google maps etc beforehand to research properties! Everything was perfect thanks to the owners
