Guests consistently praise the cottage's beautiful, secure garden and its suitability for dogs. The property is noted for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to walks and amenities. Some minor maintenance issues are mentioned, but overall, the cottage is highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews describing it as very clean, tidy, and well-presented. Only one mention of sofas being 'grubby' slightly impacts the otherwise stellar feedback.
The location is praised for its proximity to the beach, shops, and countryside walks. The quiet village setting is appreciated, contributing to a peaceful stay, although no specific negative comments provide a balanced view.
Comfort is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the beds and sofas comfortable and the cottage warm and cosy. One guest found difficulty with the shower access due to a disability, but overall, comfort levels are rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and powerful shower. However, some guests suggest minor improvements and report maintenance issues like a leaky shower and the need for a new can opener, which slightly lowers the score.
While guests express appreciation for the cottage's amenities and the owner's personal touch, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category.

Well situated between Annan and Dumfries and great base to explore the area. The property has everything you need for a short break and is comfortable throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Owner contacted us before arrival to ensure everything was as needed and to offer help/support if needed - lovely touch.

We loved the history of Flora's Cottage and were delighted with the property - it is so well appointed and the garden is a plant persons dream and so well maintained. You have a first class property which you so kindly share with others - thank you for allowing us to experience a stay at such a lovely cottage. Daisy, our Border Terrier, loved her walks to the beach and being able to play in the secure garden.
