Dalbeattie, a charming rural community, is located in Scotland's southwest. The town, which provides access to the gorgeous Solway Coast with its kilometres of beaches and charming fishing villages, is located within a wooded valley on the River Urr. The granite quarry that once made Dalbeattie famous exported stone all over the world, most notably for the Thames Embankment and Eddystone Lighthouse. Today, it is well known for its outdoor activities, including the nearby 7stanes mountain biking complex and Glentrool's forest walks, where you can retrace Richard Hannay's steps from The Thirty Nine Steps. The Solway Firth, the Lake District, and the Galloway Hills are all visible from Dalbeattie and its surroundings in all directions. a wonderful setting with amenities for everyone.

    Very comfortable, clean and cosy. Well situated for exploring the area. If you want peace and tranquility, amazing views and wonderful walks and wildlife, this is the place.

    This has not happend before so could be a one off .

    However although the place looked superficially well cleaned , there was thick dust on headboards, bedside tables and coffee tables Also I would have expected basics such as kitchen bin liners and dishcloths to be provided in a short stay property
