We felt welcome, comfortable and relaxed as soon as we got there. A perfect place to escape to with lovely walks from the front door and a wonderful base to return to. The owners are obviously kind and thoughtful people as everything anyone could need was provided. Best of all....a comfortable bed. Thank you
Gary
The owners have thought of every detail to make the holiday experience really enjoyable. It is set in a secluded place with access to many walking paths with a plethora of wildlife. Nearby beaches were loved by our dog and ourselves. In nearby kippford the ark tearooms provided lovely coffee and homemade cakes to die for. Also the beach at sandy hills seems to go on for miles with caves, spectacular rock formations and a variety of wildlife, rabbits, kingfisher, buzzards etc. we would not hesitate to recommend the barn and rockcliffe area and thank the owners for providing such a welcoming place to stay.

I came on my own with just my dog for company. The aim was to get out for walks and do some sketching. The woods behind the Barn are beautiful and lead you upwards and then down into Rockcliff. This was a bonus as I didn't have transport. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and I would recommend it highly. I look forward to a repeat visit or to The Carrick which I understand is situated right on the beach.
