Craigrathan in Kippford is a well-loved, characterful cottage with antique furnishings and original artwork, offering a homely and relaxed atmosphere. Its stunning location by the beach and amidst quiet woodlands is highly praised, as is the spaciousness suitable for families and dogs. The property boasts well-equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, and good Wi-Fi. Repeat visits are common, indicating a strong guest satisfaction.
Most reviews do not mention cleanliness issues, suggesting general satisfaction. However, a few remarks about the need for better cleaning and an overflowing waste bin slightly lower the score.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty, tranquility, and proximity to the beach and nature trails, making it an ideal setting for a peaceful retreat.
Guests find the beds comfortable and appreciate the spacious sitting rooms. The warmth of the house and the presence of log burners add to the overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers good Wi-Fi. Some feedback suggests a need for maintenance and updates on furniture and outdoor amenities, which affects the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Beautiful position, lovely old house, but getting a bit tired i.e. in need of new comfortable chair seat cushions, upholstery cleaning and either new modern mattresses, or some good quality 'toppers'. Also, replace feather pillows with modern fillings - feathers are really bad for asthma sufferers! Despite the above, the house has a lovely home-from-home feel that you can really relax in.

A wonderful house in a lovely peaceful position, loved the garden and of course being so close to the beach, had a great time.
