Guests say

Glaven is a well-maintained property with stunning views, offering spacious and warm accommodation. Guests appreciate the quiet location, well-equipped kitchen, and the overall cleanliness. While some minor issues with maintenance and comfort are noted, such as a creaky bed and a steep access road, the property's positives, including its peaceful setting and the local bistro, are frequently highlighted. The lack of Wi-Fi is mentioned, but the property's charm and amenities seem to compensate for this.

The property generally receives high praise for cleanliness, with guests finding it to be immaculate upon arrival. However, a few guests noted areas that were missed during cleaning, such as dust on skirting boards and dead insects in door frames, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly regarded for its stunning views and peacefulness, making it a great base for exploring the Highlands. The village's basic amenities and the exceptional local bistro are appreciated, although the village is noted to be somewhat isolated with limited facilities.

Comfort receives a good score overall, with the property being described as warm and the views enhancing the experience. However, some guests reported issues with mattresses and a low bed, which affected their sleep quality and comfort.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-appointed kitchen and ample space. However, the score is affected by the unavailability of the games room, lack of oven shelves, and some maintenance issues like a problematic shower holder and a creaky bed frame.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Beautiful scenery and has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable time. Set within a wonderful community and especially loved Ardgay Store. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend. Already have to family and friends.

We were lucky a neighbour kindly took the blue bin down this terrible drive for emptying however the green bin was full to capacity when we arrived, One bedroom had a very low bed which is totally unsuitable for elder visitors and by the end of the week we were really struggling. Whilst the place looked clean it was obvious to us areas were missed the bathroom skirting board was black by the bath and pictures and door frames had dust. When we opened the French doors in the kitchen diner the inner frames were full of dust and dead insects. We very much enjoyed the scenery however the village is isolated and the pub closed however there is a shop close by and a chemist shop. Would l stay again no l don't think so we left the property clean and tidy the beds stripped and taken to the laundry room. Whilst I would love to give a better review l have to be honest in my findings.

The matresses in both the double rooms were not comfortable though I appreciate that is a personal opinion. The bed in the master bedroom was really difficult to get out of because of the wooden frame. Other than that, superb, lovely views, loved the piano, so much space, one of the best we have stayed in...apart from the beds!
