What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jonathan - Verified booking

We would 100% highly recommend this property.

It was immaculate and felt like home from the moment we walked through the door. It was beautifully appointed and the furnishings were of a high standard. There was thoughtful attention to detail from a lovely clean dog bed, bowl and dog treats to fresh flowers. A lovely welcome tray of goodies was provided and was extremely welcome after an 11 hour journey. Laura rang a couple of days before our stay to confirm details and to check if we needed anything because she wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us. We were due to arrive at the cottage at 4pm but due to a major accident we didn't arrive until 8.45pm. When we rang Laura to let her know what was happening she was really lovely, asking if she could get anything for us so we didn't have to go to the shops when we got there. So thoughtful and kind. We can't say how lovely Laura and Gav are. Nothing was a bother for them. Although they lived next door, we felt extremely comfortable. If we needed help with anything at all, including places to visit, they were more than happy to help. What a beautiful property and a beautiful couple. Thank you so much Laura and Gav for your kindness and attentiveness and for helping make our holiday special. We will 100% be returning. Michelle, Jonathan, Bron and Mick.

Nanville is situated in a wonderful location with superb views across the countryside & the backdrop of the Beauly firth.

The cottage is of traditional Highland design & has been beautifully renovated but includes all the modern facilities whilst retaining traditional features. All the rooms are a good size & whilst we stayed at Nanville as a couple there are 3 good size bedrooms. Our bedroom had a lovely comfortable bed & all the bed linen & towels were of high quality & there were great views from all windows of the property. The bathroom also has a bath & large corner shower with good water pressure & easy temperature control. The dining room & lounge easily accommodate 6 adults. There is a TV in the dining room & lounge. There is nothing we needed that wasn't provided. At the rear of the property was a lovely patio table & 4 chairs which overlooked the extensive garden & there are also 2 other seats which could be moved round from the front of the property. The location is ideally situated for the Central Highlands & approx 20 mins from Inverness, a few miles from Muir of Ord, Beauly, Dingwall ETC. Can't recommend Nanville, it's views, it's locality & the properties facilties enough. A gem in the Highlands.

      Stunning, Beautiful, Perfect!

! We had a fabulous week away relaxing at Nanville. The house is cosy, warm, spacious, and immaculately clean. We have rented many holiday homes in the past, but this one has been our favourite by far. Great quiet location with lovely views. We felt as though we were house sitting for friends, rather than renting a holiday home!! The house is beautifully decorated with gorgeous furniture and accessories, with so much attention to detail, even down to the cute gold bee ornament in the bedroom!! Our little dog was the most relaxed we've ever seen him, he loved the big comfy bed provided and was more than happy curled up on it, while we were busy cooking dinner. Laura is the most thoughtful, kind and welcoming host I have ever had the pleasure to meet. All the extra little touches did not go unnoticed, they were greatly appreciated, and made our holiday even more memorable and special. I wish I was able to award this stunning property more than 5 stars, it so deserves it!! Thank you for everything Laura, and for allowing us to share your beautiful home. See you next year......

The Nanville Cottage was perfect in every respect, the location, the facilities provided, and the support of the team who own and maintain the house.

We had regular email contact with the owners before, during, and after the visit to ensure the stay was problem-free, this was appreciated but not required as the place had everything required, and a little more. From the fresh sunflowers placed in the window, to the pint of locally sourced milk in the fridge, along with tea, coffee and some Scottish cookies left out for us, it actually felt like coming home. The cottage looks rustic (part of the charm) outside but inside, the functional living areas were quite modern with a large fully fitted kitchen, lovely spacious bathroom, dining room, and cozy living room with Netflix etc.. to help relax or keep everyone entertained in the evenings after a day out sightseeing or hiking. Bedding and Bedrooms (like the other rooms) were clean with the beds comfy, the most important factors for us. Outside had plenty space for kids to play, parking for the car, bikes etc.. And a table and chairs to eat out when it was warm enough. All in all, one of the best stays we have had in 20 years of holiday home rentals. 5 STARS!

      What can I say?

Genuinely one of the most welcoming and homely cottages I have had the pleasure of staying in. We visited here during the October holidays and although we didn't arrive until after 8pm we were welcomed by the caretaker of the cottage Audrey who showed us around. The cottage was so warm and there was the most delicious and generous welcome pack. We had arranged for a Tesco delivery to come between 8-10pm and arrived at 8.30 which was perfect! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and Laura is the most wonderful host who was always on hand if we needed anything. She is so knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of options for places to visit with our 6 and 4 year old. The sunrise from the front of the house every morning was amazing and the grounds at the back were perfect for the girls to explore. If you are considering booking this place then go for it - you wont be disappointed! I can't thank Laura enough for a beautiful get away from the busy city life - we will definitely book to return in the near future! Thank You! Lisa
