What our customers say about their holidays

    • Katie - Verified booking

We had a lovely 4 night stay at 3 Dunrobin Street.

We had previously booked an alternative cottage for the week before which was cancelled at short notice so we booked here with Sykes for the following week and the weather was glorious! The cottage had everything we could have needed for our stay which we found spacious and comfortable. We had one issue with getting a signal for terrestrial tv channels however streaming apps were available which we made use of. It was our first visit to Tain and we’re delighted at how close all amenities are. Thank you for providing such a cosy and comfortable stay

This is a lovely old fisherman's cottage with lots of character, cosy, comfy and well stocked, very handy for all that Tain has to offer.

There was a problem with opening the front door, we could see various screws had been removed previously and the key cover; it is easy to open from outside but we all struggled with opening from inside. Also we couldn't find any information about what we could put in the recycling, which does differ from place to place. However, these minor niggles apart, we really enjoyed our stay. The local cheese plus breakfast rolls, milk and delicious butter you provided were most welcome. I would definitely recommend a stay in this house.

Two people complained that mattresses were too soft.

One photo shows twin beds in one room but on arrival it had been made as a double which caused an issue. More importantly it was late when we arrived and directions from WEBSITE using maps took us past the entrance to the property and also said property was on right hand side and it was on left. However on reading notes from owners the directions were correct stating property on left.

A much nicer house than we expected.

Its very well equipped, especially for a family, with plenty of games, books and kitchen equipment. There is a herbs and spices rack which means you dont need to bring the essentials. I was very happy. Only change I would make is the rules - wasnt clear if we needed to strip the beds etc. We cleaned up after ourselves but would be good to have a clearer standard. Would reccomend.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to spend our vacation in such a peaceful and relaxing setting.

The lodge is beautifully furnished with great attention to detail, making our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Every part of the lodge felt thoughtfully designed, and we appreciated the cozy atmosphere it provided. The quiet surroundings were perfect for unwinding, and we left feeling truly refreshed. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking a quiet, quality retreat!
