What our customers say about their holidays

Still waiting for the phone call from Sykes about heating, which was on when we arrived but Sykes should have known this beforehand.

Living area was cooler than the bedrooms, needed to use the woodburner which didn't have enough logs for been on every night, glad I took our own logs. Driveway to the log cabin was full of post holes and most had hard standing but this one was some way across the grass. As the cabin was close to the road, there was quite a bit of road noise and during summer it could be more as their is a caravan camp just up the road. Inside the pans weren't perfect, looked as if been burnt on in a previous life, Cooker and Microwave all good, Lighting was good, Bathroom had a good shower system and the beds comfortable, plenty of seating

We had a lovely stay in Chalet C and would happily return for another holiday there.

The description doesn’t mention that there is a good size ensuite in the double bedroom, plus a separate bathroom. The lounge/diner/kitchen is spacious. The dining table would easily seat 6 people. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user with a 17” manual chair and was delighted to be able to move around the whole chalet with ease. You may find a small threshold ramp useful to aid entry via the double patio doors. Our dog was immediately relaxed there, and there are so many walks in all directions. Thank you to Lauren and Gary for sharing your lovely space

The place is beautiful, really relaxing and a brilliant location to explore the coasts and waters nearby.

We found the cabin to be really cosy, it felt private enough due to distance from other cabins, the fire was easy to use and very cosy. Good shower and comfortable bed. The one thing to be aware of is that the cabin is next to a road, so very light sleepers might find this a problem. After the first night it was really no problem for us though. I am disabled and experience fatigue and pain a lot, this place was more than comfortable for me. A great break, we would recommend this place.

Very clean with comfortable beds& good quality appliances, however,no instructions for anything, could really have done with some for the cooker, induction hob has a child lock which took us a a few days to work out, Contact person didn't know much about it either, key safe needs replacing,we had to leave the key on top when leaving, also no fire extinguisher or blanket which I thought was a legal requirement for holiday let's in Scotland ,all in all though still a nice holiday,

Stayed at blue pine cottage for 2 night.

On arrival the place was like walking into a fridge. No heating on for arrival. So it took over 2 hours to get some sort of heat in the place. No hot water. Was luke warm at best. Shower was more like a trickle of water. Main bedroom window looks on to main road so you hear the traffic going past when your trying to get sleep. Only good things about this lodge was the log fire and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely not worth the money. Won’t be back!!!!
