Guests are charmed by the stunning views and peacefulness of 1 Bayview Bungalow, appreciating its clean, comfortable, and well-equipped nature. The location is praised for its wildlife and scenic walks, with many looking forward to returning. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted.
Most guests found the property to be clean and well-maintained, though a few noted issues with cleanliness such as a grubby kitchen floor and mould on a bathroom blind. The majority of reviews, however, reflect satisfaction with the property's cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, wildlife sightings, and tranquillity. Guests enjoyed the proximity to beaches and nature walks, contributing to a high score for location.
The bungalow is generally considered comfortable, with positive remarks about the heating and powerful shower. Some guests suggested improvements such as updating the blind in the bathroom and providing a clothes horse, but overall comfort levels were high.
Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good storage. However, there are comments about blunt knives, a noisy washing machine, and a desire for Wi-Fi. The need for replenishing some kitchen items and minor updates are also noted.
While guests appreciated the peaceful setting and the welcome postcard and teabags from the local cleaner, there is insufficient information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host, such as consistent provision of gifts or extra touches that enhance the guest experience.
This character bungalow is situated on the north-west coast of Scotland, a stone's throw from a sandy beach. Set over one level, 1 Bayview bungalow provides a romantic getaway for a family of four or even a couple on the breathtaking Scottish coast. The well-equipped kitchen provides a dining area that can accommodate four people, as well as an electric hob and oven, along with a sitting room that boasts stunning views via a picture window that dominates the room. There's also a shower room complete with WC and basin, and two bedrooms, one of which is a double and the other a twin. Both bedrooms benefit from ample storage space and a wash basin in each room. The outside of the property is dominated by the spectacular sea views and beach literally yards from the bungalow. There is also a picnic table to the front of the building. The property is relatively remote, being seven miles from Poolewe (the Poolewe village has a population of just over 200 hundred people), and you're based right on the coastline. In the village there is an indoor heated swimming pool, a coffee shop, a hotel and a shop nearby within seven miles. Poolewe is not too far away from both the village of Gairloch and the small fishing village of Aultbea. You can also catch the Ullapool ferry to the outer isles from this region, making for a great day trip. This character bungalow is ideally located to enjoy everything that the north-west of Scotland has to offer, from trips to the surrounding isles to spending the day at the beach right in front of the property. Accommodating a family of four, this bungalow is perfect for a traditional Scottish getaway for the whole family. This property is on the same site as 961796 and together they sleep 8.
Poolewe sits in the shelter of Loch Ewe, at the mouth of the River Ewe. It is home to a well-stocked shop, small swimming pool and two hotels. The world-renowned Inverewe Garden (National Trust) is half a mile across the bay from the village.

The house was spotless. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I would definitely stay there again.

There is no internet but that's because itâs not available just there, we had a phone signal though. We usually vacuum the whole place before we leave but the vacuum was so incredibly noisy we abandoned it. The single track 6.7 mile access road wasnât a problem as there are plenty of passing places & very little traffic.

There seemed to be a problem with the microwave. Other than these minor points, absolutely fantastic.
