Guests say

Guests consistently praise Bourblach Cottage for its breathtaking location, stunning views, and tranquil setting. The property is described as comfortable, well-equipped, and clean, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Personal touches by the owners and the property's historical charm add to its appeal. While most experiences have been positive, a few guests noted minor maintenance issues and one expressed dissatisfaction with the booking process.

Reviews frequently mention the property being immaculate, clean, and very well-kept. One isolated complaint about food left in the freezer suggests a minor oversight but does not reflect the overall high standards of cleanliness experienced by other guests.

The location is universally lauded for its stunning views, proximity to beaches, and the convenience of nearby transport links. The scenic surroundings and the ability to see the Jacobite Steam train from the garden are particular highlights.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, warm, and cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere. However, one review mentioned difficulty in heating a bedroom during an exceptionally cold period, suggesting room for improvement in comfort during adverse weather conditions.

The property is praised for being well-equipped and thoughtfully furnished. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as a broken shower head and the need for more kitchenware, indicating that while facilities are generally good, there is some room for improvement.

While guests appreciate the personal touches and the welcome basket, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will be provided.

If you drove to Bourblach you will have passed the Harry Potter Viaduct at Glenfinnan. During the summer months Harry Potter fans and steam train enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the sight of two steam trains hooting and tooting their way past Morar, a mile or so from the house, twice a day, on the final stage of their run to Mallaig from Fort William and back. Take to the Highlands with Bourblach as your base. EPC Rating: Band G

The renowned "Road to the Isles" ends in Mallaig, a vibrant and bustling fishing community that is well-liked by tourists who want to experience the feel of a working fishing port while also taking advantage of all the restaurants and shopping it has to offer. A ferry crosses the Minch from Mallaig to the Isle of Skye all year long, making it a fantastic entry point.
