Braewood is a well-received cottage in the Northern Highlands, praised for its stunning views, wildlife encounters, and peacefulness. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, comfortable setting, and the local pub's hospitality. While some mention minor issues with kitchen equipment and a lack of connectivity, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment of the natural surroundings.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and well-maintained, with several reviews highlighting its tidiness. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to the overall experience.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, wildlife, and tranquillity. It is noted as remote, which is ideal for a peaceful retreat, although some guests mention the remoteness requires extra driving for sightseeing.
The cottage is frequently described as comfortable and spacious, with a homely feel. However, a few guests noted issues with hot water in the shower and the need for additional amenities like towel hangers.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and added bonuses like a pool table. However, there are repeated comments about the oven's worn-off symbols and the lack of WiFi and phone service, which affects the score.
While guests mention a surprise from the owners and toys for children, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
This detached bungalow is set in a quiet secluded woodland location in the village of Whitebridge, within driving distance of Inverness. This Loch Ness cottage has mature trees bordering the rear of the property and to the front there are lovely uninterrupted views across the fields to the Monadhliath Mountains. This contemporary Loch Ness cottage is well presented and spacious, and is the perfect holiday home to relax in after a day's walking, fishing or cycling. At your Loch Ness cottage there are three bedrooms, one of which has en-suite facilities, a family bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with dining area. The shores of Loch Ness are only 3 miles away and the road around Loch Ness is a fantastic route to follow. Be sure to stop off at some of the villages en route and to look out for the famous monster! Close by are the Falls of Foyers, Fort Augustus and the famous Urquhart Castle. Naturally the area has an abundance of wildlife and it would not be unusual to see deer passing the window, hares running through the grounds and a wide range of bird life including pheasants and partridges at this Loch Ness cottage. Whether touring the area in a car, taking lovely long walks or cycle rides, fishing for brown trout in the local river or simply relaxing and making the most of the highland atmosphere, you will not be disappointed!
The village of Whitebridge has it's own hotel and is set in a quiet location within the highlands of Scotland. The location is perfect to go to different places: Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Inverness of course, and many other sites. The house is very clean, comfortable and with everything needed to have a pleasant stay. The owner is nice and easily joined. I warmly recommend.
