Lybster 2 miles. This lovely, well-presented detached cottage is situated in a quiet location with sea views, within a beautiful and remote part of Scotland, two miles from the village of Lybster. Rose Cottage is a fresh, bright and welcoming holiday retreat, a real 'get away from it all', where visitors will appreciate the unspoilt scenery with its rugged coastline. Ideal for a family, couples or friends, this immaculate and tastefully presented cottage has three generous bedrooms, a contemporary shower room and well-equipped kitchen. The sitting room with dining area has comfy settees and is a sociable room for relaxation at the end of an active day. Double doors from the sitting room lead through to the sun room which is a lovely sunny area to enjoy the countryside views. A well-kept garden surrounds the cottage and is a great place to sit and soak up the views whilst enjoying a morning cup of tea. The village of Lybster is just two miles north and has good local services including pubs and shops. The harbour is central to Lybster which was once a busy fishing port and today boats still fish there for lobsters and crabs. Visitors will enjoy the quiet roads leading north and a drive to the top of the UK, where John o' Groats is a must. Further along the coast is Dunnet Head with its famous lighthouse, marking the most northerly point of the Scottish mainland. This is also home to the RSPB's largest reserve in the UK, where you can see puffins, razorbills, guillemots and more! A vast unspoilt area to explore, but a fabulous cottage to return to at the end of a busy day. EPC Rating: Band C

The location is wonderful. However you need to change the What3Words guidance on Sykes Cottages. Your current location is nearly a mile away on a different road. Change to: ///regulator.overjoyed.towns We had a wonderful time. Lorraine and John are great hosts and we will visit again.

A very warm welcome awaited us, with everything explained clearly. A welcome pack was provided, with everything that we might need and more! The cottage itself was as clean as we'd expect & very comfortable. The local wildlife is the only thing you'll hear - with the local A9 being far enough away as to not be in earshot. So much to explore locally, a week just wasn't long enough for us. We will be back. Highly recommended!

The cottage was very clean and it had everything in it you would need for your stay. The owners John and Lorraine left us a small hamper when we arrived at the cottage which was a lovely bonus . The gardens were well maintained and a lovely place for you to sit in the summer evenings.. would definitely recommend Rose cottage..
