Guests say

Blantyre Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature, making it a delightful stay for visitors. Its location is appreciated for exploring the Highlands, despite some noting the proximity to a busy road. The property is consistently described as a home away from home, with thoughtful touches that contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

The cottage receives glowing remarks for its immaculate condition, with multiple guests highlighting the high standard of cleanliness. One isolated incident of the property not being cleaned prior to arrival was quickly rectified, indicating strong responsiveness to cleanliness issues.

The location is generally well-regarded as a base for exploring the Highlands, with convenient access to local attractions. However, some guests mention the nearby busy road and its associated noise, which slightly detracts from the otherwise positive feedback about the location.

Guests frequently commend the comfort of the cottage, mentioning comfortable beds and furnishings. The presence of a sun room and a well-appointed bathroom adds to the overall comfort. A suggestion for mattress toppers indicates room for improvement, but overall, the comfort level is highly rated.

The cottage is celebrated for being well-equipped and providing excellent facilities. Some guests noted the absence of a dishwasher and tumble dryer, which were expected, and a minor issue with a smelly hoover. Despite these points, the overall sentiment towards the facilities is very positive.

While the reviews frequently mention the cottage's well-equipped nature and homely touches, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful gestures provided by the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the provided reviews.

Enjoy a scenic stroll into the centre of the village, home to a selection of shops for picking up the essentials, a bakery, a café, a takeaway and a number of hotels with bars, for that well-deserved beverage. Attractions within the town include the neighbouring golf course, the 17th Century Kilcoy Castle and the award-winning Glen Ord Distillery Visitor Centre, famous for producing the only remaining single malt scotch whisky distillery on the Black Isle.
