The little town of Keith in Moray lies on the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail and offers plenty for visitors. The town is filled with linguistic heritage due to being named Scotland’s First Scots Toun. This lively little town is a key stop on the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail thanks to the Strathisla Distillery, the oldest working distillery in Scotland dating from 1786. The town is also home to several traditional shops, plenty of superb restaurants and a wide range of accommodation ranging from B&Bs to self-catering cottages.

There is not much local parking. Having said that there is an overspill immediately opposite, but it isn't immediately clear that this is available. One could easily assume this is private land.

There are a couple of things needed: a coatstand or coat hooks ( the area in the stairwell is an ideal place for this). A full length mirror and a hair dryer. Also, we found the table in the kitchen was too big for the space and the chairs were uncomfortable. The duvet covers and matching pillowcases were 100% polyester (might look good but very hot and sticky), luckily we travel with cotton sheets to use in hot weather.

A very quiet little town, and a great base to explore the nearby areas, especially all the whiskey distilleries!
